SCA's yearbook policy is one book per family. If you would like additional books, they are $10 each and must be purchased by May 9th. Please pay on your bookkeeping sheet and send an email to jlorenz55@yahoo.com requesting the amount you need. There will be NO EXTRA BOOKS FOR PURCHASE on Promotion Night.

Yearbook Format Change
This year we are transitioning to a standard Yearbook
format and the class will be working toward submitting
the Yearbook in national competition. With this
change in to a traditional Yearbook layout, the
pictures we need from all the SCA families gets
easier for you. Instead of sending in loads of family
pictures as in previous years, we just need a few
good ones as listed below.
New Yearbook Email Address
This
year the SCA Yearbook class has their own email address
for you to use when sending us your photos, pictures4sca@gmail.com.
You can send multiple pictures at a time and there
is not a picture size limit. The Yearbook Editors
will be downloading pictures each week during the
class.

Pictures Needed
Your Family Pictures
We only need a few pictures from each SCA Family.
If you haven’t already sent in the pictures
below, please do so as soon as possible to pictures4sca@gmail.com.
The deadline is February 22nd.
- A couple Family Group Pictures
- It can be a family picture, vacation shot, or
some place interesting. Also if you’ve got
an interesting picture or one that shows something
that’s unique that your family did this
year – we would like to have that photo
as well to use in the Yearbook’s family
section.
- Your Musical Student - One
or two shots of your student/s practicing, playing,
or performing with their musical instruments.
- Your Athletic Student - A couple
pictures of your student/s in their sports activities.
It can be their individual team shot, action shots,
or standing there smiling in their sports gear
or outfit.
Your homeschool class - A couple
pictures showing your student(s) learning in your
homeschool classroom. This year we want show both
SCA classes and your homeschool classrooms. We love
interesting pictures of your students involved in
home school projects.
SCA Event, Field Trip, Class Activities Pictures
Please send all that you have into to our Yearbook
email address at pictures4sca@gmail.com.
If you’re hosting an event, please help us out
by making sure someone will be taking pictures.
Student Photographers Wanted
Does your student love to take pictures or work with
Adobe Photoshop or Elements? Sign them up to take
pictures for the SCA yearbook. We need pictures of
the SCA events, field trips and other activities.

SCA Event and Field Trip Pictures –
keep those coming in. We need you to send in the pictures
you have for the events and trips in September, October,
and November. If you’re hosting an event, please
help us out by making sure someone will be taking
pictures.

How to
Send Your Pictures to the Yearbook
Digital Pictures:
1. By Email
The easiest – Just send your pictures to the
Yearbook Class email address – pictures4sca@gmail.com.
You can send multiple pictures at a time. Just remember
to tell us in the email what each picture is about
and who’s in them. If you sending us pictures
from an SCA Event, Field Trip, or Class Activity,
remember to let us know which one it was.
2. By CD
Just copy your pictures onto a CD.
- Remember to write on the CD, your name and what
type of pictures are included
.
- Drop the CD off at SCA in Jim Lorenz’s
folder, or give it to a Yearbook Student, or drop
it off the Lorenz’s house in Lake Forest.
- A listing of all the pictures, what they’re
about and who’s in them is always needed.
3. Stop by with Your Camera
Not sure how to get the pictures off your camera?
Just stop by the Yearbook Class on Monday Night’s
(at the Lorenz’s house) between 5pm and 8pm
with your camera and computer cord and the students
will show you how to do it. That’s easy!
Paper Pictures
Drop
it off
Like a CD, just drop the photos at SCA in Jim Lorenz’s
folder , or give it to a Yearbook Student, or drop
it off the Lorenz’s house in Lake Forest.
Remember to right on the back of the picture what
the pictures are of and who’s in them.

Yearbook
Ads
Senior Ads
Tell your student how proud you are of their accomplishment
and achievements. Put a senior Ad in the SCA Yearbook
for them to see! You can make up your own Ad or
we can make it for you.
General Ads
Did your son or daughter win a scholastic or athletic
competition this year? Let them know how excited
you are for them by placing the announcement in
the Ad Section of the yearbook.

Student Photographers
One
of our goals for the yearbook is to submit it for
national competition so the yearbook class is now
open to student photographers as well. It's not
a photography class but will focus on yearbook photography
and photojournalism.
