The following classes are being offered for the 2010-2011 school year. Enrollment is currently open for all classes. If you do not see a class that you need, you might consider gathering a group of people to team-teach a class. This is a great way for your children, and you, to develop friendships that could last a lifetime. Following is the preliminary Junior High Class Schedule for 2010 - 2010. If class minimums are not met, we may need to cancel some classes. PLEASE PAY ON YOURS BOOKKEEPING SHEET TO ENSURE ENROLLMENT IN THIS CLASS..


   
Competitive Speech & Debate (Grades 7-12) $25/month
Impact Choir (Grades 7-12) $17.50/month
Junior High Earth/Space Science (Grades 7-8) $25/month
Toastmasters (A year-long course that meets bi-monthly.) $15/year returning;
$30/year new
Yearbook/Desktop Publishing (Grades 7-12) $35/month

Classroom Behavior Expectations

In order to facilitate a beneficial learning environment, please review with your students the SCA code of conduct. We strive to provide a nurturing environment for all of our students. Unfortunately, sometimes the behavior of some students adversely affects the ability of other students to learn. Please be aware that students will be expected to be able to sit through a lecture/learning session of at least 90 minutes. They will be expected to take notes, treat their teachers and fellow students with respect, and to comply with their teacher’s requests. If you believe your student may have difficulty complying with these guidelines, please contact myself or the class teacher. This year, if a student is unable to comply with these expectations, they will be asked to drop the class.

Enrollment Policy
Once you have enrolled your child in class, and the class has started, you are responsible for the entire cost of the class. Please choose carefully as your account will not be adjusted for dropped classes.

Please be aware that only students registered at SCA as Junior Highers or above can be enrolled in Junior High classes. There are no exceptions to this policy.

Add/Drops
Drops are accepted before the second class meeting. Once your child has attended the second week of class, you are responsible for the entire cost of the class. Please choose carefully as your account will not be adjusted for dropped classes after this period.
