SCA families, who are mostly from South Orange County, take full responsibility for their children’s education. We come along side our member families to offer organization and support in these and many other ways:
- SCA files an affidavit as a private school with the state of California each year and is classified as a Private School Satellite Program (PSP).
- SCA offers a wide variety of support activities and resources to our families, including record keeping, testing, special events, field trips, assemblies, monthly parent (faculty) meetings and supplementary classes (i.e. Choir, Toastmasters, Speech & Debate, etc.).
- SCA is affiliated with ACSI (Association of Christian Schools International) by which students are eligible to compete in activities such as The Spelling Bee, Math Olympics, Creative Writing, Piano Festival and Speech Meets.
- SCA organizes families into small groups which facilitates sharing of information, mentoring and support, while fostering fellowship and friendships.
It is our focus to aid the Christian homeschooling family in preparing well-rounded students who will be able to acknowledge the sovereign God in all spheres of life.
Although SCA provides a wide range of services, our success depends upon the families of the school coming together to help serve in different capacities.
Parents are required to select their own curriculum/course of study for their children, submit attendance sheets and quarterly reports, attend monthly faculty meetings, and serve our school in some capacity during the school year.
Registration, tuition and optional class fees are affordable and financial aid is available based on need and by request. Please see the Tuition and Fees page for more information.
May God bless you on your homeschooling journey,
The Saddleback Christian Academy Family
